Hey, it's got potential. However, you need to add a lot more harmony, fillers, variation, etc. Like I said, it's got potential, but it needs work.
Try listening to choral music - trust me, it really helps when it comes to harmony.
Also, there are a lot of great plugins that you can use for free. Cakewalk has a really great bass guitar and strings section, and if you have an audio interface, you can use spitfire labs.
